The Rosario Islands is an archipelago about 100 kilometres from Cartagena. The archipelago is one of the 46 Natural National Parks of Colombia. The series of 30 islands offers guests crystal clear waters and white sand beaches and they are considered some of the prettiest islands in Colombia.
While you are visiting the Rosario Islands, you can kayak, paddle-board, and snorkel or scuba dive in the coral reefs that are home to incredibly diverse marine life, flora and fauna.
You can choose to either visit on a day trip or stay the night on the islands. Day trips leave Cartagena early in the morning and arrive at Isla Grande after an hour long boat ride. Depending on the package that you book, this may or may not include lunch and activities. Make sure to ask before booking anything so that you know what you are paying for.
If you want to stay overnight (which we highly recommend), we suggest booking your accommodation in advance. This allows you to let the boat know where to drop you off and then you aren’t stuck carrying your bags in the hot sun. There is a wide variety of accommodation on the island ranging from budget eco-hostels to high end resorts.
