As more and more travelers visit Cartagena, the demand for Instagrammable spots is growing. In a country that is known for having amazing street art, Cartagena stands out as having some of the best that you can find. Luckily, this makes for some wonderful spots to catch your newest Instagrammable photo. Below are some of our top spots for getting great pictures.
The Umbrellas of Getsemaní
These colorful umbrellas are located in a narrow lane close to Plaza de la Trinidad. The area gets very busy so try to come early in the morning if you want to get a photo without other people in the background.
The Flags of Getsemaní
Located just a short stroll from the hanging umbrellas, the miniature flags hanging above the street and the brightly painted houses offer a colorful background for your next IG profile photo!
The Streets of the Old City
The streets of the old city offer a step back in time thanks to the cobblestone streets, wooden balconies, and brightly painted facades. Come very early in the morning to get photos before the city wakes up.
Rooftop Bars & Restaurants
Cartagena is full of rooftop bars and restaurants where you can get some great pictures of the ocean and Nuevo Cartagena. We recommend visiting the Hotel Movich, Mirador Gastro Bar, Townhouse Rooftop, and Sky51. Although Sky51 is actually located in Bocagrande, you can get some of the best views of Cartagena from there. If you are staying in the historic center, it is well worth the trip for some truly wonderful photo opportunities.
